Re-Leaf Massage
Relax / Renew / Realign
While I have held jobs in many arenas and had many other experiences through both travel and
volunteering, I find that few endeavors inspire me as much as massage and the opportunity to aid
people in wellness. I have long been of the opinion that what is available in nature, through
interactions with each other, and in the essence of our own being, are the most potent medicines
for nearly any ailment. Massage has the ability to incorporate all three of these sources to achieve a
heightened state of health and self. I incorporate Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial
techniques in my work.

Every body and every person is different and looking for unique traits in a massage and my goal is
to accomplish whatever it is my client needs in each particular session. In my opinion, all massages
should have elements that are both therapeutic and relaxing. In this respect, I aim to treat the whole
person, not just the body you possess. I look forward to working with on this journey to feeling great!

About my Massage approach:

My massage work is born out of a passion for healing and a desire to
help people.  I am client focused, bringing my creative spirit and intuition
to each session, making each session a unique experience.

There are several aspects that drew me towards bodywork.  The most
obvious is touch -- connectedness with client, facilitating change,
receiving immediate feedback, working with another in a meaningful way
that provides positive change in another's life.  I have a strong desire to
make a positive difference with each client.

I trained at Miller-Motte College in Wilmington, North Carolina and Florida College of Natural Health.
Completing my certifications and National exam in 2003. After a year of personal searching and self
discovery I began my path as a massage practitioner in 2004. Since then I have experienced the ultimate in
massage as luxurious escape and daily necessity for wellness and recovery. My style is influenced by
principles of Ayurveda and the understanding that the mind and emotions are profoundly sensitive to touch.
My view is that each session must be tailored to your long term goals, and  the most effective route to that
goal in the moment. We are beings in constant change and so healing must be fluid with various techniques
available. This does not need to be complicated or strange, it is a an art of pulling together the right
elements for each person.

With massage, I feel that I have the freedom to use my creativity to reach each
different client personal needs and create and environment of health and healing.
With each massage I can educate my client’s to become more aware of their own
bodies. I am a strong believer that during our loud and busy lives, it is essential
that we all find grace and grounding and be present with life. I have a passion to
help people become one step closer to finding that through my massage

My technique is very unique, by including many techniques to have the greatest
affect in each session, which include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Lomi Lomi, and
Sports. I like to incorporate a lot of stretching and movement to help coax the body
into its healing process.

With the healing power of touch,
I bring self-awareness to my clients,
empowering them to improve their daily life.

I passionately believe in the importance of taking time out of our busy lives to
nurture our own body and soul.  Massage can be a great tool in the process of
improving one’s quality of life.  With every massage, I believe change happens
throughout the entire body.  I work very intuitively in my massage and tune in to
what my client’s tissue is saying and asking for.  I encompass the whole body in
every massage and listen to where my client’s tissue leads me.  I work very
specifically and sometimes very intensely, but never lose sight of my client as a
whole.  Because of this I pride myself in nurturing change.  I look forward to
beginning this journey with you!

My approach to massage is to share my knowledge on how the body works with my clients and
engage them in the process of healing.  My intent through massage is to assist my clients in finding a
place of true relief and relaxation; to take my client on a journey through their body teaching them
along the way how to slow down, breathe, and take it all in.  I love to share my professional experience
and services with clients that are looking to enhance their body awareness and gain knowledge on
how to use their bodies in an effective and beneficial way.  I believe that massage can be a very
powerful tool that clients can use to heal their bodies and/or help prevent dysfunction.

I have worked with a wide range of clients including pregnant women, elderly, patients suffering from
terminal diseases, clients seeking treatment massage due to injury, and healthy clients simply wishing
to relax and connect with their body through massage.   I believe that working together as a team is
the most favorable approach for both me and my client to achieve the results we have agreed on.

Massage is one of the most accesible ways for people to experience the healing power of touch. I
have spent many years caring for people in compromised health and wanted to change the focus
of my efforts. With massage, my intention is to help people feel health and comfort in their bodies
and minds. Signifiicant transformations of how we live in our bodies can occur from the simplest
touch. I live every day hoping that my touch inspires someone to a healthier body awareness, and a
more comfortable life in their body.

I use a combination of Swedish, and Myofascial release techniques. I enjoy working with clients who
are in need of specific treatment, and those who are dealing with chronic pain. However, everyone
can benefit from massage, including those who use it to maintain a high level of comfort and health
in their bodies.

My massage practice focus is to support you in your well-being, whether that is through treatment
of a particular injury, pain reduction or management, or enhancing general wellness and
relaxation.  As an avid kayaker, I was first drawn to massage as a profession when I saw friends
struggling with shoulder injuries and long rehabilitation processes.  I love providing massage that
balances treatment aspects with nurturing and relaxation as well.   Our massage sessions will always
focus on your needs; I look forward to helping you achieve your wellness goals through massage!

After working several years in a variety of fields, I came to a realization I needed more from a job. I was
looking for fulfillment, to give of myself and help others. I wanted to work with my hands while nurturing my
intuitive and creative spirit. It was then I decided Massage Therapy was the career for me. I graduated from
Everest College in July 2009, enjoying every minute of it. My approach to massage is focusing on the client,
each massage is designed specifically for you. I offer a unique experience using a variety of methods such as
myofascial release, Swedish, deep tissue and stretching. I encourage all to take the time and discover what
massage can do for you.
